These Squier Classic Vibe Antigua models are a limited edition run that is due in a few months. The line consists of a Strat, Tele Custom, P-Bass, and Bass VI model, which can be pre-ordered now.

Squier Classic Vibe Antigua

This limited edition run of Squier Classic Vibe Antigua models will make many players happy. It offers four great models, all in this reasonably rare finish option. The lineup consists of a 70s Strat, a 70s Tele Custom, a 70s P-Bass, and the Bass VI. As this finish was a 1970s option for a short while, it makes sense for the whole range to have that era as the primary focus.

Classic Vibe Construction

The styling and finish are all very 1970s; however, these Classic Vibe models follow the same formula as the rest of the Squiers in this series. This means they all come with poplar bodies, maple necks with a vintage tint to the gloss finish and matching maple fretboards. The latter all come with either black dots or, in the case of the two bass models, black block inlays.

Fender Designed Alnico

Each model comes with an appropriate set of Fender-designed Alnico Single-Coil, Split Single-Coil, or Wide-Range Humbuckers. Again, this is a standard feature for Classic Vibe models, and they are pretty good pickups, so they are well worth checking out.

Pre-Order

All four models are available to preorder at Thomann and will ship in a few months.

I’m guessing these will be popular and so may sell pretty quickly, as the Antigua finish is popular with some players. It is one of those that you either love or hate. However, it certainly has a fanbase that chases it.

Classic Vibe models are already popular and represent fantastic value for money. Therefore, they could be reasonably desirable, especially as they are limited-run. The closest current model is the Fender Anniv. Vintera II Strat in Antigua, that one is over $1000 more.
