Yes, you heard that right! You have to use a Chrome extension to disable AI Overviews, as Google did not offer a native way to disable the function. If you have a Google account, chances are that you’re seeing AI-generated search results, and that is not sitting well with most people. The company has been flooded with requests to disable the feature, but it has yet to acknowledge this.

Obviously, many people whose businesses rely on ad revenue from web traffic do not like this feature at all. It poses a major threat to their income, and undoubtedly, many of them will have to shut down because of this.

Once you click on the link, you’ll be taken to the extension’s homepage. On that page, click on the Add to Chrome button you have near the top right of the screen.
