Motorola Razr 50 certification reveals more images


Motorola’s upcoming Razr 50 series of clamshell foldable smartphones have been the subject of a number of leaks and reports lately. Ahead of an official announcement, the Motorola Razr 50’s pricing details were leaked recently. Notably, as many as 75 high-resolution images of the device surfaced online, revealing all of its color variants.

The phone was recently certified by 3C. Now, the alleged Motorola Razr 50 is certified by TENAA, which has revealed more images and some specs of the device.

The purported Motorola Razr 50 has recently been certified by TENAA, China’s equivalent of the USA’s FCC. The handset has appeared with the model number XT2453-2 in TENAA listings. The Razr 50’s new certification has revealed more images, which show a design similar to what we’ve seen in the earlier leaked photos. Apart from a much bigger full-size cover display, the Razr 50’s design is quite similar to last year’s Razr 40.

As for the specs, TENAA certification suggests that the Razr 50 will sport a 3.6-inch OLED cover display. The outer screen will have a resolution of 1,066×1,056 pixels. The main vertically foldable display will measure 6.9-inches. It will also be an OLED screen panel but with a higher 2,640×1,080 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

At the helm, the Razr 50 will have the unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor featuring a clock speed of 2.5GHz. The certification also reveals that the phone will be arriving in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM variants. The storage options will include 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. For imaging, the device will have a 50MP main sensor, which will be accompanied by a 13MP secondary lens.

As far as selfies are concerned, the Razr 50 will allegedly have a 32MP camera on the foldable display. The smartphone could have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Powering the phone will be a 3,950mAh battery. Lastly, the TENAA listing suggests that the handset will measure 171.3×73.9×7.2mm and will tip the scale at 188 grams.

The previous reports have suggested that the Razr 50 could have a competitive starting price tag of $699. The brand will also launch a more high-end Razr 50 Ultra variant that is said to cost around $970. Since the phone is certified by various regulatory authority agencies, we can expect the official launch to be imminent.
