Fishermen Integrated has won Malaysia’s first ever Webby Award and the 28th Annual Webby Awards for their PETRONAS 2022 Integrated Report website, which won the Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Use of Video or Moving Image (under the Websites and Mobile Sites – Features & Design category).
The Malaysian independent agency was honoured along with this year’s other Webby winners at a star-studded ceremony in New York City on 13 May, where they had the opportunity to participate in the Awards’ hallmark tradition of delivering a five-word acceptance speech (view Fishermen’s 5-Word Speech here).
Hailed as the “Internet’s Highest Honour” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards (aka. The Webbys) are widely considered to be the most prestigious award for excellence on the Internet. It is overseen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), a judging body composed of over 3,000 industry experts and technology innovators.
The People’s Voice Award, voted by the online community, is one of two awards all Webby nominees in each of the 100+ categories are eligible for. Over 2.2 million votes were cast by over 550,000 people around the world for this year’s Webbys.

Nick Borenstein, General Manager of The Webby Awards, said winners like Fishermen Integrated are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet.
