CICLOPE Festival returns to Berlin this October, and has just announced its full programme and speaker lineup. This year’s event includes talks from the people behind some of the industry’s most respected work, including: David Droga, CEO at Accenture Song; Sharon Horgan, writer, actor, producer, director, and co-founder of Merman; Steve Rogers, director and co-founder of Revolver; Bianca Guimaraes, partner and ECD at Mischief; Aoife McArdle, writer and director at SMUGGLER; and Jason Kreher, partner at Maximum Effort.
The Craft Sessions
The Craft Sessions give all attendees the chance to sit down with some of the industry’s leading creators and boundary-pushers in a smaller group setting. Sessions include: Untold Stories: Insights from Four Female Production Company Owners, led by Prettybird’s Ali Brown, and joined by Epoch Films’ Mindy Goldberg, Biscuit Filmworks’ Shawn Lacy, and Eleanor’s Sophie Gold; Musical Bias & The Brief: Storytelling in Original Film Composition, led by Zac Colwell and Halle Petro at Sonic Union; Directing Mentorship: The Power of NaÏveté session led by directing duo King She (Radha Ganti & Robert Lopuski), and a return of last year’s popular Lunch & Learn: Editing Workshop with Work Editorial. Registration will soon be available for all ticket holders.
The Festival’s final day involves screenings of some of this year’s shortlisted work, ahead of the evening’s Awards ceremony. It’s a chance for attendees to immerse themselves in excellent craft, and prompt discussions that lead to creative collaborations beyond Berlin.
Make connections, build communities
The complete 2024 programme again takes place all under one roof, at the Universität der Künste’s (UDK) Concert Hall. The venue becomes home to the world’s most exciting agencies, companies and brands across the Festival’s three days, and with the CICLOPE app that allows everyone attending to connect, there’s no easier way to extend creative contacts.
Alongside the networking drinks at the end of day two, and the Awards Show with official after party on day three, local creative companies have partnered with the Festival to put on events open to anyone with a CICLOPE pass.
Industry-leading companies from across the globe already registered to attend include: Nike, WPP, Google, DDB, Accenture Song, SMUGGLER, Mischief, Academy Films, Coca-Cola, Mother, Wieden+Kennedy, AB InBev and many more.
CICLOPE CEO, Francisco Condorelli, said: “The unique character of CICLOPE is that it’s a creative home for individuals from all areas of our industry, bringing those from every department of the credits list together in one room; from the clients and agencies who build a campaign, to all the post teams who make the final film sing. We can’t wait to see what future collaborations emerge from this meeting of minds, and what work will set this year’s benchmark for excellence in craft.”
