While I have no idea how this new delay by Witch Pig got its name, I do know that I enjoy its sound – a lot! As the name suggests, Bangkok Ping Pong is a ping-pong delay that bounces between the left and right sides. You can adjust the delay time in milliseconds or sync the time to the tempo of your DAW. There’s also a feedback knob for setting the number of repetitions.

So far, so good. What makes Bangkok Ping Pong special is the added auto-wah effect that modulates the repetitions. This sweeping bandpass filter is controlled by an LFO. You can adjust the frequency (speed) of the modulation, and dial in the desired bandwidth.

The modulation gives the delay a very organic and lively sound that I really like. Instant surf vibes or psychedelic textures? No problem! While some other delay plugins can do similar things, Bangkok Ping Pong is very immediate and simply sounds right. Oh, and how could I forget to mention that trippy animation?

Bangkok Ping Pong is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats.

Analog Obsession CITE shapes and enhances the high frequencies of your tracks. This easy-to-use high-frequency processor and exciter is a great way to breathe life into dull-sounding recordings or add that little bit of sparkle a performance is missing. According to the developer, CITE is a custom design not inspired by any particular hardware.

Use the gain-compensated Amount knob to dial in the desired amount of high-frequency shaping. Area lets you select the frequency range from mids to highs. Then adjust the dry/wet mix to your liking. And lastly, CITE offers a master volume control. Simple and effective!

CITE is available for macOS and Windows in VST3, AU, and AAX formats.

More Information

PCEQ5 by Psycho Circuitry is a versatile 5-band equalizer inspired by analog gear. In addition to three parametric bell filters, it offers high and low shelving bands. Each band offers adjustable Q, frequency and gain controls, as well as a pair of toggle buttons for selecting an active or passive characteristic.

Furthermore, there’s a Feedback Loop distortion control. According to the developer, the feedback distortion section simulates the nonlinearities of active equalizers. The output stage includes a drive circuit, blend, and auto-gain.

Like all Psycho Circuitry plugins, PCEQ5 is also available as a paid “plus” version (currently available for $19). PCEQ5+ adds individual feedback sends per band, per band stereo separation, a feedback filter, a choice of tube or solid state drive characteristics in the output stage, and additional filter modes.

PCEQ5 is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats.
